Powering the Next Generation of LNG Energy Leaders

The LNG Center of Excellence at McNeese State University serves as a critical link between education, industry, government, community and innovation, preparing a workforce equipped to support one of the most important energy sectors in the world.

As LNG investment accelerates across Southwest Louisiana, the need for a highly trained, work-ready workforce has never been greater.

McNeese and GTI Energy Partnership

To meet the workforce need, McNeese State University is collaborating with GTI Energy to develop and offer a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in LNG Engineering. Funding for the program is needed and will provide a foundation for additional LNG-related courses and training programs.

Goals:

  • Secure $2 million to develop the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in LNG Engineering and other related training courses (PBC)
  • Secure $5 million to design and construct an outdoor Hands-on-Training (HoT) Laboratory

Donor Recognition Program

  • Comprehensive donor recognition for major contributors.
  • Tiered sponsorship model aligning visibility with financial commitment.
  • All donations are tax-deductible, managed by the McNeese Foundation.

Value of Sponsorship

  • Develop Competent LNG Workforce: Sponsors contribute to training programs that prepare students for careers in operations, engineering, and oversight.
  • Increased Brand Recognition: Prominent visibility in the LNG Center of Excellence, within learning materials, events, and promotional platforms, connecting sponsors to future industry leaders.
  • Influence Curriculum Development: Opportunities for sponsors to guide curriculum to meet industry needs and emerging technologies.
  • Engagement Opportunities: Sponsors can host industry-focused webinars to showcase expertise and connect with students and stakeholders.
  • Long-Term Industry Impact: Shape a training model that benefits the Gulf Coast region and the broader U.S. energy workforce.

This collaboration fosters strong industry relationships and ensures the next generation of LNG professionals is prepared for success.
